A primary driver underpinning Cath’s work is to create social benefit. Thus, Cath also provides coaching and group facilitation for women impacted by domestic and family violence and homelessness. She designed and delivered Catherine House’s ‘My time’ Program, which was a finalist in the 2017 and 2018 Adult Learners Awards. Cath also facilitates 'Pathways to Empowerment' groups for the Zahra Foundation, for people to empower themselves and develop pathways towards education and employment.

Cath is passionate about open water swimming, marine conservation, adventure travel and singing with Allegria.


Cath has strong experience in mentoring in a range of business environments including:

  • Supporting workforce development strategy by leading Iocane’s staff mentoring program
  • Designed and delivered concurrent sessions for Country Health SA’s Growing Leaders Mentoring Program*. Strategies and methods for mentees included:
    • Clarifying your purpose, Self-reflection and preparation, Setting SMART goals, Identifying ways to optimise learning, Giving and receiving feedback, Preparing for the first meeting and Dealing with challenges
  • Collaborated with Veronica Lee to develop and facilitate the Institute of Public Administration (IPAA) annual sector-wide mentoring program
  • Designed, facilitated and moderated the Department for Education online leadership mentoring training program
  • Delivered and evaluated agency-specific mentoring programs in conjunction with HRM Matters
  • Mentored public sector emerging leaders mentees.
